Shaka Zulu

Shaka Zulu is a magnificent 27000sq ft two floors club and restaurant opened in 2010 in The Stables Market in Camden. Being Duo London Club as next door neighbor, Shaka Zulu London represents the mecca for who wants to have unique experience by eating South African food and party in glorious style. The venue offers also a particular unusual food selection, drinks, live music, and an uber dancing ambiance.

The concept relies on Shaka Zulu`s famous king, Shaka kaSenzangakhona. By fighting the British forces he managed to unite the Zulu tribes and create a big nation in Southern Africa. The new nation spreads between the Phongolo and Umzimkhulu rivers. Shaka Zulu creators wanted to give a touch of his glory all over the place. As consequence, they installed 62ft tall statues of the brave king and his warriors. In fact, Shaka Zulu opened with the royal blessing from the current Zulu King, HRH Goodwill Zwelithini.

The layout and the design aims to make guests feeling a true South African ambiance. On the first level there is a braai restaurant. 20ft high statues of ancient warriors also spread all around. The mezzanine level presents a champagne bar and also a cocktail lounge with a breath-taking view on the restaurant downstairs. The walls are all covered by carved wooden murals. They represents warriors, ancients battles, mosaics and leopard print. A giant escalator escorts you through all levels, exactly like an excursion. You will be astonished from the venue décor every time you step into a new room. Shaka Zulu won few prizes due to its design. This include the prestigious prize of ‘best interior design’ at the London Club and Bar Awards 2012.
The venue undertook a recent 5.5 million spend to be the well-spoken best restaurant and club in Camden.

The Club at Shaka Zulu, the Kings Club, operates on Friday and Saturday. For the ones bored on a typical Mayfair clubbing night, Shaka Zulu will match exactly your expectations of “something different and exciting”. It represents a proper club night starting at 10pm.

Music policy is House, Club Classic, Funky House, Commercial RnB and Reggaeton. The club hosts often live music bands. We operates guestlist and tables booking for Shaka Zulu Kings Club. The venue fits also perfectly for private hiring.

The “Twisted Circus” on Saturdays is the top-night, a huge national party with recurring 15 minutes performances. As location and ambience it is second to no one, it is not surprising to see Shaka Zulu as the playground of an A-list of celebrities. In addition, members of the Royal Zulu family visited the venue. What we think about Shaka Zulu.

Shaka Zulu is the perfect place where you can get an amazing value deal for your money. Likewise other West-End clubs, the Kings Club gives you a true clubbing experience. On the other side, entry and packages are more convenient. We suggest to book with us a party at Shaka Zulu Kings Club if you are aiming on a stress-free issue-free club night. In addition, the dress code at Shaka Zulu London is an aspect not to underestimate. As the most common clubs dress code rules, all guests need to dress up elegant and smart. However, there is a bit more tolerance on the use of high heels for ladies, designer smart trainers for gents and “elegance” in general. On the other hand, all general clubs entry rules, like proof od Identity and behaviour must be followed.
