The Box Soho
The Box Soho
The Box Soho is with no doubt the most exclusive and unique nighgtclub in London. The venue locates exactly in the heart of Soho, in Walker`s Street. With its burlesque acts, The Box Soho is the place to be, at least once in your life. For Londoners and foreigners, being at The Box Soho is in fact a milestone of their clubbing experience. Despite the surrounding venues, The Box London, is not a gay club or “just a bar”. It is much more! You will see it if you are lucky enough to get in. On the outside, the vibe you feel, coming from the big mysterious black entry door, is of something secret. Once you step in, you will find a very warm and inviting welcome.
The Box Soho consists in a 7,000 square foot structure set on three levels. It includes a reception foyer and two floors. Each of those can accommodate 288 guests standing or 125 seating. Inside The Box Soho London has the setting of an old theatre. In fact, the Soho Revue Bar has restored as a nightclub with a multi-million refurbish. To keep the theme of the Soho Red Light District, the club also presents deep red velvet, hazy mirrors and dark wooden balconies. This set the scene for a little erotica. The access to the main room is through a staircase where you will find yourself surrounded with dim candlelight and wallpapers painted with fornicating cherubs. The stage in the main room is the center of the action. All acts take place here. Around it we find different areas, booths and lots of space to sit, eat, drink and dance.
Although there are other nightclubs in London that have awesome live entertainment such as Cirque Le Soir, Reign ShowClub and Tonteria, The Box has a totally different crowd environment. The acts are also more towards the naughtiness.
The performances are not just the typical cabaret you are used to. They are instead a crazy mix of burlesque, erotic, scaring, and bizarre. You will be totally astonished. Just to give you an example of what those “acts” will be: a male porn star simulating sex on stage and twisting his genitals into all sort of positions whilst throwing out fake bags of cocaine to the crowd. Interesting, isn`t it?
